Disneyland Resort Hotels (for Disney magic day and night)
Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is Disneyland’s original resort hotel, and after several renovations over the years, it is still going strong. Just steps from the parks, the Disneyland Hotel charms adults and kids alike with its modern design, monorail-inspired water slide and pool area, and bits of nostalgia scattered throughout. If you want to be close to the parks – especially Downtown Disney – then give the Disneyland Hotel a look.
The hotel boasts 990 rooms in three different towers. The most recent renovation was in 2012, with upgrades to rooms, restaurants, and swimming pools. Rooms and suites can accommodate just about any size family, and their 3-bedroom connecting family suite can hold up to 16, which makes it a great option for large families or families who might want to split some of the room costs.

Just like the Grand Californian and Paradise Pier, guests at this hotel get special perks, like early admission to both parks, complimentary merchandise delivery from the parks, Disney character meet-and-greets, movie nights, and other family-friendly activities that Disney is known for. Onsite dining is extensive with several restaurants. Steakhouse 55 is an upscale steakhouse with old Hollywood charm, while Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is more casual with a Polynesian twist. Meet up with Goofy and his pals at Goofy’s Kitchen, where you can enjoy a buffet-style breakfast before heading out into the parks or sit down for dinner in the evening.

Food at Disneyland Hotel is delicious, and look for special meals throughout the year like the Disneyland Hotel Thanksgiving in the Grand Ballroom. This is a super-fun way to have Thanksgiving dinner with your family and make some great memories. It does come at a price (of course), but we loved it, and we guarantee you won’t leave hungry. Plus, you’ll get to meet and pose with lots of Disney characters, many of which you might not see otherwise.

Perhaps the most important place to chill is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar – this is where you’ll find the Dole Whip!
AftT Quick Take
Obviously a stay at any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels is a treat – Disney makes absolutely sure of that – and your family will no doubt have a great time at this hotel. It’s close to all the fun, and it is a slam dunk for any family visiting Disneyland Resort.
Things you’ll love: The renovated pool areas with retro monorail water slides may be the coolest part (unless you’re counting the Dole Whip just steps away at Trader Sam’s).
Who should book: The Disneyland Hotel fits between Paradise Pier and the Grand Californian price wise. It’s not cheap, but if it’s convenience and fun you’re looking for, then it’s a great choice.

Related: Opening in August of 2020 - Westin Anaheim Resort
Keep an eye out in 2020 for the grand opening of the Westin Anaheim Resort. Last time I was in Anaheim, I saw the construction taking place, and this is going to be the best option for off-property luxury and will be a gorgeous hotel. For families that have a stash of Marriott Bonvoy points, consider using them to book your Disney vacation here. The hotel sits on Katella Blvd., just a short walk away from the parks.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

For an immersive Disney experience with a chic rustic feel, look no further that Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We stayed here a few years back and were blown away by this beautiful property. The decor is done in a lovely craftsman style, with stained glass accents, huge wood beams, and an enormous fireplace and hearth in the lobby to welcome guests. In true Disney fashion, this hotel nails all the details to make a stay here unforgettable.
This is Disneyland vacations on autopilot.

Rooms are elegant, and service is top-notch, but what’s great for families is the proximity to the parks. The Grand Californian has two private entrances, which is a great time saver and a great choice for families with little ones who get tired quickly.

Other amenities families will love is the pool complex, complete with three pools and a water slide, on-site dining with character dining options, scavenger hunts around the hotel, tours, and movie nights. Mom and Dad will love the convenience of room key charging privileges throughout the park, complimentary souvenir delivery to the hotel from the parks, and access to shopping and restaurants in Downtown Disney just steps away.
We can’t recommend this hotel enough, and we loved staying here (just like the other Disney resorts we’ve stayed at). It is a splurge for sure, but if you have the budget, you won’t regret a stay here.

AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: You can’t get any closer to Disneyland than the Grand Californian. Easy access to the parks and a luxury stay that only Disney can provide are great reasons to stay here.
Who should book: If your budget allows, families looking for a top-notch Disney experience will love it at the Grand Californian.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
If the Grand Californian isn't in your budget, but you still want a great Disney experience, check out Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Modeled after California's iconic boardwalks of the 1920's, Paradise Pier Hotel offers families a laid back retreat that's just a few minutes from the entrance to the park.
Besides the location, one of the coolest features of this hotel is the pool and terrace that sit right on top, with good views of nearby Pixar Pier. Guests can enjoy a swim in the afternoon, Disney movies on select nights, and even enjoy the Disney fireworks and World of Color show without ever leaving the hotel. Kids will love the 186 ft. high California Streamin’ water slide too. Inside, Disney's PCH Grill and Calitalian are great places to grab a bite to eat.
As with other Disney resort hotels, guests receive access to an Extra Magic Hour, where they can enter the parks an hour before the rest of the crowds arrive. This is a great perk and can really help families with fidgety children who don't like long lines. Other amenities include free WiFi, fitness center, and complimentary merchandise drop-off from the parks.

Seaside-inspired rooms can sleep any size family from 5 adults, all the way to their suites which can sleep 13. For a splurge, consider booking a club-level room which includes continental breakfast, small snacks and drinks throughout the day, and admission to the Beachcomber Club. If your family eats light, this might be a good way to save some cash versus eating out for every meal, which can really add up. If you have little ones that might not want to be out late, book a room facing the park so you can watch the fireworks in your jammies.
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel has earned a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and 4 out of 5 stars from over 2,500 reviewers.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: The pool and water slide are a big plus, but it's really the location that sets Paradise Pier apart from the rest.
Who should book: If you want to step up from just a regular hotel to a beautifully themed Disney resort just steps from the park, give Paradise Pier a look.

The Best Hotels Near Disneyland that aren't Disney (but still close to the magic)
Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort Convention Center

The Hyatt Place at Anaheim Resort Convention Center is located about a mile down the street from Disneyland Ca. and sits right next to both the Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott. If you don't need a full-service hotel but like the location and the space of a Hyatt Place, consider this hotel. Although its distance from the park may not be ideal for some families, the space and convenience might be a reason to consider it.
We've stayed at Hyatt Places before and found them to be nice and comfortable. A recent change they've made is that their complimentary hot breakfast is only provided to World of Hyatt members, so if you are not yet a member and are planning a stay here, be sure to sign up for their program. It's free to join.
Typical rooms come with either a king bed and a sofa bed or two queen beds and a sofa bed. We like this Hyatt Place because of their family rooms that have bunk beds separated by French doors. Rooms also include a microwave, two flat panel TVs, mini-fridges, and coffee makers. WiFi is complimentary. The Hyatt Place also has an outdoor pool and fitness center on site. Parking at the hotel is $22 per night.

Start your day with a hot buffet or just grab something from The Market on your way to the parks. ART Shuttle stops are next door at the Convention Center loop for easy access. Routes 1 and 2 serve the hotel and run every 20 minutes or so. If you choose to walk, there are a few convenience stores along Harbour Blvd. to stop for snacks and bottled water before you get to the turnstiles.
Guests of the hotel seem to like it - they've given it 4.5 stars and nearly 2,000 reviews on Tripadvisor. It has also been given the TA Certificate of Excellence and is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel.
AftT Quick Take
Hyatt Place is a good brand with comfortable rooms. Complimentary hot breakfast is great for families (be sure you're a World of Hyatt member though), and the regular shuttle service to the parks is nice.
Things you’ll love: Rooms are simple, roomy, and comfortable, and prices here make it a good value. For an expensive Disney vacation, this a good news for budget-conscience families. The bunk beds are fun for families with young children.
Who should book: If you don't need a full service hotel or want to save some money by being a little farther from the parks, the Hyatt Place is a good choice.

What is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel?
Hotels that carry the Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel designation are locally owned and operated hotels that Disney has a identified as both being close the parks and rated for quality and amenities. Similar to their own resorts, they have given them a category of Economy, Moderate, Superior, and Suites. Any of these hotels can be booked on their own, but you can also book them as part of a Disneyland package, which includes perks like Toontown Morning Madness, Disney Character Calls, and a Downtown Disney Fun Card. They may or may not be a better deal than just booking direct, so shop around. If you can use hotel loyalty points to stay, it will definitely be cheaper to book your hotel and theme park tickets separately.
The Westin Anaheim Resort
Just across the street from Disneyland Resort is the brand new Westin Anaheim Resort. For those looking for a luxury stay off-property, The Westin has you covered. This AAA Four-Diamond hotel features and outdoor pool, fitness center, several restaurants, and some amazing views of Disneyland.

Enjoy dining out on the patio while enjoying the evening fireworks show, or if you want to get a little closer to the action, it's only a short walk to the Disneyland gates. This Westin also features a club lounge, so those with Marriott Bonvoy status or staying in a Club Level Room can enjoy the lounge and save a little on food and refreshments.
We have seen this hotel during construction, and we are excited to see this project come to fruition. Although we haven't had a chance to stay here, it looks gorgeous and the location doesn't get any better for easy access to Disneyland.
AftT Quick Take
The Westin Anaheim Resort is the new game in town for an upscale stay and it looks amazing.
Things you’ll love: You can't stay much closer to the Disneyland gates than this unless you're staying in a Disneyland Hotel.
Who should book: Families with small children may be better off with a waterpark, but if that's not the case for you, then the Westin is one the best hotels near Disneyland.

Springhill Suites by Marriott Maingate
Although the Springhill Suites Maingate isn't quite as close to the park as some of the others in this post, this all-suite hotel makes up for it with space and value. Every suite has a kitchenette with microwave, range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and living and dining areas. Families can really save on food costs by staying here, and if you'd rather spend your money on souvenirs than food, then it's worth a look.

A complementary hot breakfast is included with your stay, which definitely helps families with excited kids to get out the door quicker, and it also gives mom and dad one less thing to worry about. Suites come in a smaller studio, or larger one bedroom variety, and can sleep up to six, with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. WiFi and modern flat-panel TVs are included.
Other amenities include a fitness center, heated swimming pool, and hot tub. Towels are provided. Parking at the hotel is free, and shuttle service is available on the local ART shuttle for a small fee.
Springhill Suites is a category 5 Marriott Bonvoy property and currently requires 30k - 40k points to stay per night, depending on peak/off-peak pricing. The Springhill Suites Maingate is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, and has earned a Certificate of Excellence and 4.5 stars from Tripadvisor.
AftT Quick Take
Springhill Suites by Marriott, Maingate is a nice, modern hotel that will appeal to families who might want to cook a meal or two to save money. It's not the closest to the park, but close enough (and inexpensive enough) to take a look at.
Things you’ll love: Although the rooms are simple, the extra space and adequate kitchen is great.
Who should book: Families on a budget who want to have some extra space and room to spread out should consider booking, especially if you don't mind riding the shuttle to the parks.

Best Western Plus Park Place Inn - Mini Suites
Even Disney itself can't get much closer to the entry gates than the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn - Mini Suites. They're located right in front of the crosswalk on Harbour Blvd., just outside the main gates. As the name suggests, rooms are large and spacious, allowing families to spread out a little. Rooms are simple, but guests give it an average of 4 stars on Tripadvisor. If you need a hotel that's close and has a free hot breakfast, then this Best Western is hard to beat.

Although we haven't stayed at any of the Best Westerns in Anaheim yet, we did stay with Best Western on our road trip of Utah's National Parks, and they were all very nice and comfortable. The mini-suites here remind me of something you'd find at a Hyatt House, or similar, with either a king bed or two queen beds along with a sofa bed. Rooms also include a microwave, mini fridge, flat-screen TV and complimentary WiFi. If you are a Best Western Rewards member, check into staying with points. It could be a great deal! If you aren't already a member, you can sign up here. They'll even match your status to another loyalty program, and their points never expire.
Along with the free hot breakfast, parking is only $10 per night, which makes it a strong value. If you're a family of 5-6, it gets even better since many hotels have a 4-person occupancy before you have to upgrade or get a second room. A pool and hot tub are also available to relax in during the evenings after a day at Disneyland.
Since this hotel is so close to the park entrance, it's great for families that may need to build in some nap time in the afternoon for the little ones. Afterwards, it's just a short walk back to the park to enjoy some dinner in Downtown Disney or the evening fireworks show at one of the parks. As far as Anaheim hotels close to Disneyland go, this one is a great choice.
The Best Western Plus Park Place Inn - Mini Suites has earned 4 out of 5 stars on Tripadvisor and has earned a Certificate of Excellence. They are also on the Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel List.
AftT Quick Take
The Best Western Plus Park Place Inn - Mini Suites is a clean, comfortable hotel with a fantastic location, free breakfast, and room to spread out. It doesn't get much better.
Things you’ll love: We appreciate Best Westerns for their free breakfast and friendly staff. Throw in a location that's steps from the Happiest Place on Earth, and we'll take it!
Who should book: Families looking for convenience, but don't have the budget for a stay at one of the Disney properties, or value conscience families of five or six who don't want to have to get two rooms.

Hotel Indigo Anaheim Hotel
Looking cheap hotels near Disneyland? Hotel Indigo is IHG's entry into the boutique hotel market, and their focus is small, comfortable hotels that allow you to get out and explore the neighborhood. What we love about the Hotel Indigo Anaheim is that it's fairly new, is located right in between Disneyland and the Anaheim GardenWalk, and for IHG members, allows you to use points to cover your stay. While we haven't personally stayed here, we have first-hand reviews from friends and road warriors that give this hotel an enthusiastic thumbs-up. It's also a great value.

Although you won't find resort-type amenities here like a water park, it means that there are no resort fees and parking is free - big plus! Rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the hotel is only a few minutes' walk to Disneyland. WiFi is included, and the on-site restaurant, Chamber's Bar and Bistro, serves a pretty solid menu for whatever you're craving. Next door at Anaheim GardenWalk, you can find places like Roy's (delicious), McCormick & Schmick's Grille (also delicious), The Cheesecake Factory, and other options.
Rooms and suites at the Hotel Indigo can accommodate up to 6 people, and family suites are available with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Rooms also include 40-inch flat panel TVs, refrigerator, and desk. Just in case, there's also a small pool and hot tub, along with a workout center.
The Hotel Indigo Anaheim Hotel has over 1,500 reviews and earned 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor, along with a Certificate of Excellence.
AftT Quick Take
This is a nice boutique hotel, but also reasonably priced with a great location.
Things you’ll love: The thoughtful decor and amenities add to the boutique charm of this hotel and makes you forget that this is a chain owned by IHG.
Who should book: If you don't need all the bells and whistles of a resort, or have older children, this would be a great place to stay. If you are loyal to IHG, use your points to stay!
If you aren't an IHG member yet, sign up here before you book. It's free to join.

Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park Entrance
The Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park entrance has earned 4.5 stars from nearly 1000 reviews on Tripadvisor, so it comes highly rated. It's also the #1-rated Anaheim hotel on Tripadvisor for 2021, but what really makes this hotel shine for families is the 10-minute walk to Disneyland's entrance and the incredible Surfside Waterpark. It has 20,000 sq. ft. of heated pools, water slides for all ages, hot tubs, and splash pads.

This hotel was designed for families from the ground up and includes rooms that sleep six, bathrooms with dual showers so families can get out the door quicker, and bunk beds that are always a kid-pleaser. Naturally, this hotel is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, which means you can conveniently purchase your Disneyland tickets right at the front desk.
Rooms also include dinette seating, microwave ovens, mini-fridges, coffee makers, 49" flat-screen televisions, and WiFi. Each over-sized room is 530 sq. ft., meaning when you aren't out playing, the whole family will be just a little more comfortable, which is nice after a day of enjoying the Disney parks. Dining options at the hotel include a Starbucks, The Bistro for casual fare, and The Market for 24/7 grab and go convenience.
With all of these family-friendly amenities, it's easy to see why the Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park Entrance was named Marriott International's 2018 Hotel of the Year and has earned a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence.
AftT Quick Take
Although parking is $24 per night with no self parking, we still think this is a great value for families. If you have younger children, the proximity to Disneyland and the top-notch waterpark seal the deal.
Things you’ll love: The hotel is literally across the street from Disneyland, so that's a huge plus. Having a place to play and relax after a hot day in the parks - an even bigger plus.
Who should book: This hotel is ideal for families with more than four since they have rooms that can accommodate up to six. Otherwise, book for the water park and proximity to the park.

Related: If you're wanting to see more of Orange County, CA than just Disney, consider taking a drive down to Huntington Beach for a day. It's a beautiful place to play in the sand and soak up some rays, and is only about 40 minutes away. Be sure to stick around for the epic sunsets by the pier. They won't disappoint!
Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center
The Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center is conveniently located about one mile from Disneyland and is just a short bus ride to the front gates. We've stayed at plenty of Hampton Inns, and we can always count on clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Our kids love making their own waffles in the waffle irons, and we've always had a comfortable stay.

Hampton Inns have the usual perks like free WiFi, microwave, mini fridge, etc, and the HI at Anaheim adds an outdoor pool that will make the kids happy. Rooms are either 1 King bed with a sofa bed or 2 queen beds. Both room layouts are larger than typical hotel rooms, which we've always appreciated.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim Resort Convention Center is rated #2 by travelers on Tripadvisor and has earned an excellent 4.5 stars.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: Sometimes a clean room with a comfy bed is all you need for a theme park visit, and this is a good choice.
Who should book: Families looking for a comfortable room to crash in after a long day in the parks for a good price.

Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort/Convention Center
The Hyatt House is a newer hotel that sits on the corner of Katella and Harbor Blvd - right across the street from Disneyland and only about a ten minute walk to the turnstiles. If you're not familiar, Hyatt House is Hyatt's new extended stay brand, which includes rooms with fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas with separate bedrooms, and common rooms complete with grills and fire pits. While we haven't stayed at the Anaheim location, we've stayed with Hyatt House before and loved it.

At Hyatt House Anaheim, WiFi is included, along with a hot breakfast, Hyatt Grand Beds (super comfy), sofa sleepers, coffee pots, and even a grocery service. Just tell the hotel what you need and they'll stock the kitchen for you. Nice!
The Hyatt House also has a swimming pool, hot tub, and a Walgreen's right below if you need to pick up any last-minute sunscreen or bottled water. If you're a World of Hyatt member and want to use points, this is a category 4 property. TripAdvisior reviewers give the Hyatt House Anaheim 4.5 stars out of nearly 1,500 reviews, which is excellent, and it's rated the #10 hotel in Anaheim. It has also earned a 2019 Tripadvisor Traveler's Choice Award.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: The Hyatt House doesn't get much closer to Disneyland, and the large rooms in this new hotel are a great value for families.
Who should book: For families with 4-5 people, this would be a great choice, and it's also close to nearby shopping and dining at Anaheim GardenWalk.

Related: If you can't get enough of theme parks, or maybe you want something a little more 'grown-up', consider spending a day at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. KBF is a great place to ride some of the coolest roller coasters around, hang out with Snoopy and the gang, and get some dinner at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant - some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. Read our guide to visiting Buena Park and Knott's Berry Farm for everything to need to know.
Anaheim Marriott

The Anaheim Marriott is located at the Anaheim Convention Center and is right next door to the Hilton Anaheim. Both hotels are enormous to accommodate the convention crowds, but they are also very nice, and when there's not a convention in town, rooms can be found here for a pretty reasonable rate. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, this is one of five Marriott properties that are very close to Disneyland where you could redeem points. The others are Springhill Suites Maingate, the Courtyard - Theme Park Entrance, and the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort. The gorgeous Westin Anaheim Resort just opened in 2020 and is located right across the street from Disneyland.
Inside, the Anaheim Marriott is like any other large full-service Marriott with comfortable rooms, on-site restaurants, a resort-style pool, and is within walking distance of local dining and, of course, Disneyland Park (about 1 mile away). Double Queen rooms can accommodate 4, as well as the King Suite with a sofa bed if you want a bit more room. The ART shuttle makes a stop just outside the hotel for an easy ride to the parks. WiFi is included, and if you can, book a high floor facing Disneyland for views of the fireworks show at night.
Tripadvisor gives this hotel four out of five stars from over 2,400 reviews.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: Rooms here are nice and well-appointed with comfy beds. The shuttle stop right out front is perfect for families.
Who should book: If you don't mind being about 1 mile from the parks and aren't planning on eating at the hotel (no included breakfast), this is a good option for a nice hotel.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort
Homewood Suites Anaheim Resort was previously the #1-rated Anaheim hotel on Tripadvisor and is a 2021 Traveler's Choice Winner. That's pretty high praise for any hotel, but for one as reasonably priced as Homewood Suites, that's awesome news for families looking for hotels around Disneyland.

In our experience, Homewood Suites offers families a great value with lots of space to spread out, and the option to prepare some meals in the room which is easier on the budget. Amenities also include a free hot breakfast each morning, a pool, fitness center, a complimentary evening social with small bites and drinks, and the all-important WiFi.
Families might be particularly interested in the 1 King/ Bunk Bed suite. We've never met a kid who didn't love a bunk bed. Mom and Dad will love the kitchen with full-size appliances. We love being able to buy plenty of drinks for everyone to have ready to go after a hot day at the theme park, and it's nice to maybe keep some adult beverages in there as well to enjoy after the kids go to bed. Save some money on the food budget by making use of the range and oven, too.
Self-parking at the hotel is $22 per night, but if you don't have a vehicle, you can either walk or take the bus to the park. Disneyland is less than one mile away. Although this hotel is a bit farther away than some of the others on our list, we think it's definitely worth considering because of the price and size of the rooms. It's even better if you can use Hilton Honors points for your stay, which will definitely help your budget. Not a Hilton Honors member? Sign up here.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: Homewood Suites are nice, and the full-size appliances are super-convenient. Free hot breakfast and a happy hour are nice perks.
Who should book: Families who don't mind being a bit farther from the park in exchange for large, comfortable rooms.

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground
What do you get when you combine Disneyland and a hotel with a water park? The perfect family vacation, that's what! Kids will love the water park at the Howard Johnson, and it's obviously one of the main attractions of staying here. Add in family rooms with bunk beds and just an eight-minute walk to Disneyland, and you've got a recipe for success.

Besides all the amenities to keep the kids happy, Mom and Dad will love the free parking, free WiFi, and hot tub to relax those sore feet after a day at the parks. For families with small children, cribs are available, and the family rooms will comfortably sleep families small and large.
With over 1,000 reviews and a Tripadvisor rating of 4.5 stars, the Howard Johnson is one to put on your short list.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: The water park is an easy sell if you have younger kids who will appreciate it, and the bright rooms with fun colors and bunk beds are a nice touch.
Who should book: If you are looking for a simple room with great amenities for a good price, the Howard Johnson is a good choice. This is especially a good value if you have a stash of Wyndham points you could use.

Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn
The Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn sits right on the corner of Katella and S. West streets - right across from Disneyland and only about a 10 minute walk from the entrance to Downtown Disney. While we haven't stayed at this particular Best Western, we loved staying in their properties during our spring break National Park visits in Utah and Arizona.

Stovall's Inn is one of four Best Western hotels close to Disneyland that are owned and operated by the Stovall family, and it has received four out of five stars on TripAdvisior and is a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel. The hotel has two heated pools and spas, with another just for kids. Hot breakfast is included each morning, and there is free WiFi.
Another thing that we came to love about Best Western Hotels is that they are very family-friendly, and the included hot breakfast each day is the perfect way to get the day going. The Stovall's Inn takes it up a notch and lets kids under 17 stay free. That's awesome! Best Western also has a great loyalty program where points never expire, and they have a very generous status match program that will match your status with any other program. It's a super-easy way to earn more points and get more perks right out of the gate with Best Western.
In case you're interested, the other three Best Westerns in the area are the Best Western Plus Pavilions, The Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn, and the Best Western Park Place Inn and Mini-Suites.
AftT Quick Take
Things you’ll love: The hotel is literally right across the street from Disneyland, and the free hot breakfast makes this hotel a winner.
Who should book: Families who are looking for a good value and easy access to Disneyland. Throw in the heated pools, and this is a place any family will love.

Hilton Anaheim

The Hilton Anaheim is a full-service hotel just a few blocks from the entrance to Downtown Disney and is a good home base for a few days at Disneyland. Located at the Anaheim Convention Center, inventory can fluctuate depending on conferences and can get pretty busy, but it can also provide a good value for families. Having stayed here before, we can vouch for the Hilton's comfortable rooms, quick walk to Disneyland, and good service.
Rooms are typical of any other Hilton or large convention center hotel - basic but comfortable - with a soft bed, desk, WiFi, etc. Be sure to sign up with Hilton Honors loyalty before your stay. Many American Express Hilton cards give you instant Gold or even Diamond benefits, which include free breakfast and room upgrades. This can be a real money-saver for families at Disneyland.
Other amenities include a pool with a small splash pad, cribs and high chairs for small children, ART transportation drop-off out front, five restaurants, and an on-site parking garage. If you're looking for a nice, full-service hotel that's still near the park, the Hilton Anaheim is a good choice.
